Tuolumne Me-Wuk Indian Health Center to Host a Back to School Bash in July
The Tuolumne Me-Wuk Indian Health Center hosted its first annual Back to School Bash. Over the last couple of years, Tuolumne County and its community have been dramatically affected by the rising living expenses. As the 2022-2023 school year will be here shortly, we created an event to help local families and students of all ages have a successful school year. On July 23 at the Sonora Fairgrounds, the Tuolumne Me-Wuk Indian Health Center and many other gracious organizations and businesses helped over 500 students get much-needed supplies, backpacks, binders, pens, paper, and more. Along with a filled backpack, the Tuolumne Me-Wuk Indian Health Center provided over 50 students with free sports physicals. The plan is to make this an annual event for the community.
