2nd Annual Back to School Bash

The Tuolumne Me-Wuk Indian Health Center proudly announces its second annual Back to School Bash. Everyone in our community has felt the pressures of rising living expenses. Last year the Tuolumne Me-Wuk Indian Health Center hosted the first Back to School Bash. It helped over 500 students get a free backpack, school supplies, sports physical, and other valuable information about health and wellness. Along with last year’s event, all remaining items were donated to “Stuff the Bus,” a long-standing event that helps needy families. As the 2023-2024 school year will be here shortly, they have created an event to help local families and students of all ages have a successful school year. The event will take place from 10 am to 2 pm on July 15 at the Mother Lode Fairgrounds in the John Muir Building. At the event, the Tuolumne Me-Wuk Indian Health Center and many other gracious organizations and businesses will help students get much-needed supplies, backpacks, binders, pens, paper, and more. Along with a filled backpack, the Tuolumne Me-Wuk Indian Health Center will offer students free sports physicals, dental hygiene, mental health awareness, and more. There will also be fun activities, bounce houses, music, and food to make it a fun-filled day for all. The goal this year is to supply over 700 students with these excellent services and, at the same time, help families alleviate some of the cost of school supplies. Various sponsorship levels are still available if any business or organization wants to participate in this great event for our community.
