On May 9–10, 2025, the Tuolumne Me-Wuk Indian Health Center hosted The Sun Bus for a two-day community health event focused on skin cancer awareness and sun safety. With the support of our partners at UV Skinz and the Sonora Area Foundation, we provided:
- Free skin cancer screenings
- Facial skin imaging
- EltaMD sunscreen and Heliocare samples
- Sun safety education and prevention tips
The event was held at the Resilience Center in Tuolumne and the Diana J. White Cancer Institute in Sonora, CA. We were thrilled to see such strong community participation and support!
